Mama Update: (Day 47) Preparing for Discharge

Update on Bonnie Spencer Kitchens: Bonnie continues to progress. We have been in family training all week, and will continue the rest of the week in preperation for discharge. We have only recieved positive reports from the therapists and doctors, as well as seeing improvements ourselves. Words like "phenominal" and "amazing" are being used in the reports. There is no doubt that she still has a long way to go, so please continue to pray, but she has come so much further that we were, at first, lead to believe could be done. God has been so good!!! We are SO BLESSED and fortunate to have been able to come to the Shepherd Center for her treatment! I have no doubt that our God made that happen!! I know there are many great facilities that do this kind of rehab, but it would be very hard to convince us that she could have done better or even as good anywhere else! Nothing but praises and appreciation for this awesome organization! If all goes as expected, she will be discharged in a couple of weeks. At that point, she will go home, the place that she SO WANTS TO BE. She will then begin outpatient treatment at Shepheard's Pathways program. Again, THANK YOU ALL for your prayers. We still covet your prayers, for we still have quite a long journey yet to travel.
